September Meditation Retreat

I love a good meditation retreat. There’s something about meditating en-masse for a few days that’s hugely empowering and I always seem to come back calmer and with more clarity. That’s not to say it’s all a bed of roses; nearly every retreat I’ve been on has had moments when I didn’t think I’d finish it, and every one has me wondering what on earth I’m doing this for at one point or another. But at the end of the retreat, I feel more peaceful, calmer and more balanced. The things that seemed either petty or too restrictive at the beginning of the reatret, silence, the early starts, not eating after noon, little or no eye contact, by the end seem like part of the reason that a retreat is so powerful.
